Record-breaking safety rating for the all-new Volvo V40 in Euro NCAP test

  
The all-new Volvo V40 has received the top rating of five stars in the Euro NCAP collision test. The overall result is the best ever recorded by the institute.

"A fantastic result. We are very proud to have one of the world's safest cars and we're taking yet another important step toward our 2020 target - that nobody should die or be seriously injured in a Volvo," says Thomas Broberg, Senior Technical Advisor Safety at Volvo Car Corporation.

Volvo Car Corporation reinforces efficiency leadership with new initiatives in model year 2013.

Volvo Car Corporation reinforces its European leadership in fuel efficiency improvement by new CO2 initiatives. From model year 2013 the majority of all diesel-powered versions of the Volvo S60, V60, V70 and S80 will have CO2 emissions below 120 g/km. All of the larger cars in Volvo's model range can also be equipped with the new systems Road Sign Information, Active High Beam and Tunnel Detection.

Volvo Car Corporation's leadership in car safety is once again highlighted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). In the latest report the Volvo S60 is one out of the two cars that earn the best rating in IIHS's new small offset frontal crash test.

Volvo C30 Electric awarded "Green Car of the Year" in China More E-cars delivered to SIAC as Volvo Drive-E Action carries on


While the Shanghai International Automotive City Group (SIAC) marked its first anniversary of the electric vehicle (EV) campaign on July 20, 2012, Volvo Car Corporation delivered 15 Volvo C30 Electric cars to the City for pioneering open road test-drive project - EV100 Days. Meanwhile, Volvo C30 Electric was also awarded "Green Car of the Year" in China at the 4th China New Energy Mobility Summit in recognition of its world-leading safety and superb performance on the same day.
